Gel Medium is excellent for collage projects as heavy objects can
be embedded and will remain totally fixed. The Gel Medium will be
milky when wet but will dry clear
Used in the pictured collage are: a leaf, clothespin, some string,
a palette knife and photo.
What you will need:
Posterboard or Canvas Panel or cardboard, Pro Art or Demco Gel
Medium, Acrylic or Tempera Paint, 3d objects, clip art, pictures,
glue, paint brush
- Paint your posterboard, canvas panel or cardboard any way you
like. A marbled background creates a nice effect.
- Think of how you would like to place your items on your background.
- Paste your objects onto your background.
-
Once dry, cover the surface of your collage
with the gel medium and allow it to dry.
